Inspired by the Brutalist architecture and greenery of London’s Barbican, this work explores the tension and balance between architecture and nature, severity and elegance, through contrasts in both visuals and emotions.
The juxtaposition of the stark, austere lines of Brutalist architecture with the soft vitality of greenery highlights the interplay between rationality and sensitivity. This contrast evokes diverse emotional responses: some may feel a sense of oppression and detachment, while others perceive tranquility and harmony. The interplay of light and shadow further engages the viewer’s emotions, transforming the work from a depiction of physical space into an exploration of psychological space.
